Dental Hygienist Responsibilities
Welcome and prepare patients for treatment
Perform initial oral health screenings and assessments
Identify signs of periodontal disease, gingivitis, and other oral conditions
Deliver preventive dental hygiene procedures tailored to each patient
Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
Sterilize dental instruments and maintain operatory cleanliness
Follow OSHA and infection control protocols
Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
Collaborate closely with the doctor and dental team to ensure excellent patient care
Qualifications
Active California RDH License
Dental Hygiene diploma from an accredited program
1–2 years of Dental Hygienist experience preferred
Familiarity with dental practice management software
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Passion for preventive dentistry and patient education
